TVC, EVC self-priming pumps
TVC, EVC self-priming pumps
Description
EVC and TVC pumps are used for pumping clean water with up to 30°C. They are useful for supplying buildings with low water consumption, for watering gardens, washing cars. Due to their self-priming properties, they are useful in holiday homes and other facilities where pump starts are not common. Also, due to the self-priming, the pump is not sensitive to the appearance of air bubbles in the pipes.

The pumps are built in a monoblock version with a joint shaft of the electric motor and the pumping part. They are manufactured as single-stage self-priming pumps with a pump part made of gray cast iron and bronze castings and with a characteristic star impeller with flat blades. This design feature allows the pump to operate when air cushions appear in the suction pipe. However, the pump cannot independently fill an empty suction pipe which must be equipped with a suction hopper with a non-return valve and filled with water at the first start-up. The suction and discharge connections are equipped with internal threaded flanges. The drive electric motors have windings with F class insulation and correspond to the IP54 degree of protection. Single-phase electric motors have built-in thermal protection elements which are switched off when overloaded and switched on again after cooling.
